Hi! Jester here! It's been a while since I've stood behind the counter at Resurrection Auto Parts, but John asked me to post the following message.

Dear Everyone:

Over the last few years, a frequent question sent to johntwelvehawks.com has been: “When will there be a movie based on The Traveler?”

I am happy to announce that Twentieth Century Fox has optioned the trilogy. The Traveler film project has two producers.

Andrew Tennenbaum is a producer of the Jason Bourne film series, including “The Bourne Identity,” “The Bourne Supremacy” and “The Bourne Ultimatum.” He is currently the producer of the film based on the best-selling novel Water for Elephants with director Francis Lawrence.

Gil Netter was formerly the producing partner for the famed Zucker Brothers and helped produce some of their greatest hits, including the “Naked Gun” movies. He most recently produced “Marley and Me” starring Jennifer Aniston and Owen Wilson.

The Bourne series of films was a crucial factor in my decision to go with Andrew and Gil. The violence shown in the Bourne films is exciting, but realistic. I didn’t want The Traveler to become a cartoon-style movie. Harlequins are “real” people who don’t fly or smash through walls.

The film deal will not change my personal life in any way. I have no desire to hang out with movie stars or walk down a red carpet. I spent part of 2007 in Tibet and may return to that area of the world after The Golden City is published.

For this reason, my agent, Joe Regal, will be Executive Producer of the film. In my absence, Joe will be an advocate for the integrity of the film and will work to ensure the adaptation is faithful to the spirit (if not the letter) of the trilogy.

Your friend,

John Twelve Hawks

Hey, great information! So you are now doing business with the people who run the propaganda department of the vast machine? So it´s all just fun and great marketing, hiding your face, hiding your real name, using unregistered satellite phone and so on?
Why not an independent enterprise and why not independent producers?
That´s kind of a disappointment, but on the other hand: Money makes the world go round, soon they will pay you to reveal your identity, and you will do it...
